Elizabeth Ella is Henry and Elizabeth’s third child and first daughter.

1900 US Census: Ella [4] is living with Henry and Elizabeth.

1910 US Census: Ella [14] is living with Henry and Elizabeth and presumably attending school.

1920 US Census: Ella [23] and her husband John M. [29] are living/farming in Crete, Nebraska with their two young children, Delmer [3] and Mae [1].

In April 1921, John dies of appendicitis aged 40. Ella’s younger brother, Herbert Henry, raises and harvests the crops for the year and at the end of the season, Ella and the children move into a small house on the farm of her parents, Henry and Elizabeth. Ella marries Frank Earnest Schwader in July 1923 and the family moves back to their farm. I assume her father and older brothers farmed/maintained the land until that happened.

1930 US Census: Ella [34] and Frank [35] are living/farming in Webster county, Nebraska. Delmer [13] and May [11] are presumably attending school.

1940 US Census: Ella [44] and Frank [45] are living in Douglas county, Nebraska. Frank is working as a laborer for a farm machinery wholesaler and Ella has no listed occupation.

1950 US Census: I have yet to find this record.

Frank dies in 1982 aged 87. Ella dies in 1985 aged 88.
