Anton goes by Theodor, especially in the 1904/1905 letters written by Henry.

Currently, the information I have for Theodor comes from his father’s testament:
Theodor Balz receives three thousand marks as severance pay, plus a dowry worth three hundred marks. The severance pay is payable in three equal installments: the first with the dowry six months after the termination, the other two six months later each. As long as he does not receive the severance pay, he will receive four percent interest annually from now on, as well as an annual salary of sixty thalers and ten thalers for clothing. Free board, however, is only provided as long as he performs the services of a farmhand.

Family history says one son inherited the Lusebrink, two sons went to America, one son went to god, and one went to the village. Theodor is the son who went to the village. Specifically, he left the Lusebrink to farm for himself in the village of Schmerlecke. When and how he was able to do this is a mystery I would like to solve.
